Dear Nixon Parents:
Welcome to another year of
collecting Box Tops for Education! If
you’re not familiar with it, Box Tops for Education is a terrific program
sponsored by General Mills.
Box tops coupons can be
found on many General Mills products including food items like Honey Nut Cheerios and non-food items like Kleenex. (see the list of participating products in
the table of contents at left) All you
have to do is cut them out and send them in to Nixon. We’ll do the rest.
Did you know that Nixon
School can earn up to $20,000.00 per year simply by collecting General Mills
box tops?
Last
year, Nixon earned $1005.00 collecting box tops! The student council voted on how to spend the money and decided to
buy much-needed sports equipment for the playground. This year our goal is $2500.00 and the student council will have
the opportunity to vote again.
To
make collecting fun for kids, there are collection sheets that you can download
and print. (see table of contents at left)
Or, feel free to use a plastic bag or envelope!
If
your family is not participating, give it a try. Chances are you’re throwing away box tops without even knowing
it. Each box top that we collect is
worth 10 cents. Super box tops earn 30
cents!
If every child brought
in 5 box tops per month, Nixon would earn $2500.00 this year – it’s that
easy!!
Please
encourage your kids to get involved!
Thank
you!
