Non-Custodial Parents:
 
A non-custodial parent’s access to his/her child’s student record is governed by state law.  The law requires that the non-custodial parent provide the school with certain documentation, and that the custodial parent be notified of the non-custodial parent’s request for access to the record.  Since such requests must be made in writing once while enrolled at Nixon, at this time I want to inform non-custodial parents who want access to their child’s record that they must submit a written request to the Principal.  When I receive that request, I will apply the requirements of the law as specified above.
